East Cheshire Hospice relies heavily on the generosity of our local community, charitable donations, and fundraising initiatives to sustain and expand their services.

With only 17% of their funding coming from the government, last year they had to raise over £3.4 million through fundraising.

The support they receive from individuals, community groups, and businesses, are vital in enabling them to deliver exceptional care to those in need.

East Cheshire Hospice is a compassionate and dedicated charity committed to providing outstanding care and support to individuals face life-limiting illnesses in the East Cheshire region.

Established with the aim of enhancing the quality of life for patients and their families, the Hospice offers a range of services that promote comfort, dignity, and holistic well-being.

These services include:

  • A 15-bed ward where the clinical teams prioritise physical comfort and emotional needs of their patients while respecting individual wishes and preferences. The Hospice also offers planned short-term care to give respite for carers.
  • Hospice @Home was created in 2017 with the aim to give patients more choice and control. The service empowers people to remain at home if they wish to, by offering high-quality end-of-life care and support in the community.
  • The Hospice supports patients and their families throughout their journey, offering day care services in the Sunflower Centre, bereavement counselling, complementary therapies and chaplaincy services. By providing a network of care across these services, families and their loved ones are cared for every step of the way.

Every contribution, no matter how small, makes a significant impact.

By coming together as a community, the Hospice can provide comfort and support to individuals and families during their most challenging moments.

Whether it’s joining a sponsored walk, hosting a bake sale, or giving in memory of a loved one, your efforts will directly impact the lives of those in need.

Together, we can ensure that the Hospice continues its invaluable work.
