Details of forthcoming funerals, please respect the families’ wishes in relation to attendance, flowers and donations.

Peacefully on Thursday 14th January 2021, at Macclesfield District General Hospital, Vivien aged 75 years of Macclesfield. The dearly loved Wife of Kenneth, a much-loved Mother of Virginia. She will be sadly missed and most fondly remembered, by all her loving family and friends.

Due to the current restrictions a private funeral service is to take place.

Family flowers only by request, but if desired donations may be sent for Battersea Cats and Dogs Home.

On 27th December 2020 peacefully in Hospital, Clifford aged 75 years.  The dearly loved Brother and a treasured Friend.  Clifford will be missed greatly and most fondly remembered by all his loving Family and Friends.  Due to current restrictions a private Funeral Service is to take place.  Family flowers only, by request, but donations may be made, if so desired, in favour of the David Lewis Centre.

On 13th December 2020 peacefully in Hospital, Dorothy aged 90 years.  The dearly loved Wife of the late Graham, beloved Mother of Brent and a cherished Grandmother.  Dorothy will be missed greatly and most fondly remembered by all her loving Family and Friends.  Due to current restrictions a private Funeral Service is to take place.  Family flowers only, by request, but donations may be made, if so desired, in favour of the East Cheshire Hospice.

Sadly, but peacefully, Michael passed away on Monday 18th January 2021 on his 85th Birthday.  He was the loving and dearly loved Husband of Pam, proud, loving and much-loved Dad of Diane and Caroline, a treasured and cherishing Grandad and Great Grandad, Loved and respected by Andrea and Susanne. He will be sadly missed and most fondly remembered, by all his loving family and friends. The Funeral Service and Committal will take place at Macclesfield Crematorium on Tuesday 9th February at 12 Noon.

Due to the current restrictions, family only will be in attendance.

Family flowers only by request, but if desired donations may be sent in memory of Michael for Age UK Cheshire East or Telford Court Care Home, Crewe.

On 4th January 2021 peacefully in Hospital, Cynthia aged 90 years.  The dearly loved Wife of the late Robert, much loved Mother of Sarah, John and Louise, a cherished Grandmother.  Cynthia will be missed greatly and most fondly remembered by all her loving Family and Friends.  Due to current restrictions a private Funeral Service is to take place.  Family flowers only, by request, but donations may be made, if so desired, in favour of the East Cheshire Hospice.

The dearly loved Husband of Ada, a much-loved Father of Sandra, loving Father-in-Law of Alex and a cherished Grandad of Nicola and Alex. He will be sadly missed and most fondly remembered, by all his loving family and friends.

On 31st December 2020 peacefully in a local care home, David aged 77 years.  The dearly loved Husband of the late Patricia and a much loved Father.  David will be missed greatly and most fondly remembered by all his loving Family and Friends.  Due to current restrictions a private Funeral Service is to take place.  Family flowers only, by request, but donations may be made, if so desired, in favour of Dementia UK.

On 20th December 2020 peacefully in Hospital, Betty aged 97 years.  The dearly loved Wife of the late Graham, much loved Mother of the late John, cherished Grandmother and a treasured Great Grandmother.  Betty will be missed greatly and most fondly remembered by all her loving Family and Friends.  Due to current restrictions a private Funeral Service is to take place.  Family flowers only, by request, but donations may be made, if so desired, in favour of the Ayrshire Hospice.

On Sunday 3rd January 2021, Joe passed away peacefully at home after a long illness, aged 65 years.  Joe was a true gentleman and natural protector of those he loved.  He was a humble man with a kind and caring heart.  Joe was the Proprietor of Henshaw’s Waste Management.  He will be forever deeply loved and sadly missed by family, friends, colleagues, business associates and customers.  Due to current restrictions, a private funeral service will take place.  Donations may be made, if so desired, in favour of Kidneys for Life.

Peacefully on Saturday 26th December 2020, at Macclesfield District General Hospital, David aged 82 years of Macclesfield. The dearly loved Husband of Christine, a much-loved Father of John and Sarah. He will be sadly missed and most fondly remembered, by all his loving family and friends. The Funeral Service will take place at St. Alban’s Roman Catholic Church on Monday 18th January 2021 at 11.45 am, prior to a service of Committal at Macclesfield Crematorium at 1.00 pm.

On 20th December 2020 peacefully in Hospital, Elsie aged 79 years.  The dearly loved Wife of the late Gordon, much loved Mother of Richard, Beverley, David and Liz, a cherished Grandmother and Great Grandmother.  Elsie will be missed greatly and most fondly remembered by all her loving Family and Friends.  Due to current restrictions a private Funeral Service is to take place.  Family flowers only, by request, but donations may be made, if so desired, in favour of the East Cheshire Hospice or the Multiple Sclerosis Society UK.

Peacefully on Thursday 21st January 2021, at Macclesfield District General Hospital, Philip aged 91 years of Hurdsfield, Macclesfield. The dearly loved Husband of Kathleen, a much-loved Father of Susan and Louise. He will be sadly missed and most fondly remembered, by all his loving family and friends.

On 16th January 2021 peacefully at home, Michael aged 74 years.  The dearly loved Husband of Christina and a much loved Father of Emily and Harry.  Michael will be missed greatly and most fondly remembered by all his loving Family and Friends.  Due to current restrictions a private Funeral Service is to take place.  Family flowers only, by request, but donations may be made, if so desired, in favour of The Christie.

On 18th January 2021 peacefully in a local care home, Maggie aged 81 years.  A dearly loved Wife, much loved Mother and a cherished Grandmother.  Maggie will be missed greatly and most fondly remembered by all her loving Family and Friends.  Due to current restrictions a private Funeral Service is to take place.  Family flowers only, by request, but donations may be made, if so desired, in favour of Age UK.


Peacefully on Monday 28th December 2020, at Salford Royal Hospital, Jack aged 93 years. The dearly loved Husband of the late Edna and the late Kathleen, a much-loved Father of Ian. He will be sadly missed and most fondly remembered, by all his loving family and friends. The Funeral Service will take place at Prestbury Methodist Church on Tuesday 19th January at 12 Noon, prior to Interment at Over Alderley Burial Ground at 1.15pm. Peacefully on Wednesday 6th January 2021, at Woodlands Care Centre Macclesfield, Dorothy aged 76 years of Macclesfield. The dearly loved Wife of Peter, a much-loved Mother of Carl, Collette and Simon. She will be sadly missed and most fondly remembered, by all her loving family and friends.

The Graveside Funeral Service and Interment will take place in Macclesfield Cemetery on Wednesday 6th January at 12 Noon.

Peacefully on Wednesday 30th December 2020, at Macclesfield District General Hospital, Maisie aged 83 years of Macclesfield. The much-loved Mother of Martin, Craig, Julie and Wendy. Peacefully on Monday, 11th January 2021 in a local care home, Christine aged 66 years.  The dearly loved Wife of Trevor and a much loved Mother of Lee and Scott.  Christine will be missed greatly and most fondly remembered by all her loving Family and Friends.  Due to current restrictions a private Funeral Service is to take place.  Family flowers only, by request, but donations may be made, if so desired, in favour of the Lily Foundation.

Peacefully on Saturday 16th January 2021, at her home in Bollington, Pamela aged 75 years. The dearly loved Mother of Paula, Lesley and Stuart. She will be sadly missed and most fondly remembered, by all her loving family and friends.

Peacefully on Thursday, 7th January 2021, aged 98 years, Harry formally of Radipole Lane, Weymouth.  The dearly loved Husband of the late Denny, much loved Father of Chris and Morgan and a cherished Grandfather.  Harry will be missed greatly and most fondly remembered by all his loving Family and Friends.  Due to current restrictions a private Funeral Service is to take place.

Peacefully on Wednesday 23rd December 2020, at Rowans Care Centre Macclesfield, Christopher aged 72 years of Macclesfield. The dearly loved Husband of Barbara, a much-loved Step-Father of Gail, David and Samantha. He will be sadly missed and most fondly remembered, by all his loving family and friends. Due to the current restrictions a private funeral service is to take place.

Peacefully on Monday 14th December 2020 at Hazelmere House Care Home Wilmslow, after a short illness borne with courage and dignity, Mary aged 94 years of Adlington.  The dearly loved and devoted Wife of the most recently late Leslie (Les) Worthington, a much-loved Mother of Helen and Andrew, loving Mother-in-Law of Mark and Lynda, a cherished Grandma of Lauren, Emily, Francesca, Tom and Alex and treasured Great Grandma of Lola and Miles. She will be sadly missed and most fondly remembered by all her loving family and friends. The Funeral Service and Committal will take place at Macclesfield Crematorium on Thursday 31st December at 9.20 am.
