Details of forthcoming funerals, please respect the families’ wishes in relation to attendance, flowers and donations.

On Sunday 10th March 2019, peacefully in hospital, Ted aged 95 years.  The Funeral Service and Committal will take place at 2.40 p.m. on Thursday, 28th March at Macclesfield Crematorium.  Family flowers only, by request, but donations may be made, if so desired, in favour of Sanctuary Care Limited.

On Saturday 16th February 2019, peacefully at home, Lilian aged 96 years.  Beloved and loving Wife of the late Ronald, loving Mother of Alan, dear Mother-in-Law to Maureen, loving and devoted Grandmother of Stuart, Great-Grandmother of Rebecca and much loved Sister of Peter, Sheila and Pat and Auntie of Gillian.  Lilian will be missed greatly by all who knew her.  The Funeral Service and Committal will take place at 11.20 a.m. on Friday 15th March at Macclesfield Crematorium.  Family flowers only, by request, but donations may be made, if so desired, in favour of the East Cheshire Hospice.

Peacefully on Monday 18th February 2019, at Park Mount Care Home, Jack aged over 100 years, of Macclesfield. The dearly beloved Husband of Vera, a much-loved Father of David and Philip, cherished Grandad of Cecilia and Aaron. He will be sadly missed and most fondly remembered, by his loving family and friends. The Funeral Service and Committal will take place at Macclesfield Crematorium on Wednesday 6th March at 9.20 am.

 

On Monday 18th February 2019, peacefully in a local care home, Mary aged 94 years.  Requiem Mass will be offered at 12.30 p.m. on Wednesday 13th March at St Paul's Roman Catholic Church, Poynton followed by private Interment in Southern Cemetery.  Family flowers only, by request, but donations may be made, if so desired, in favour of Cancer Research UK.

Suddenly on Saturday 2nd February 2019, at Lyme Green Hall Care Home, Audrey aged 85 years of Macclesfield. She will be sadly missed and most fondly remembered, by her loving family and friends. The Funeral Service and Committal will take place at Macclesfield Crematorium on Tuesday 19th February at 2.00 pm.

 

Peacefully at home in Bollington on Tuesday 12th February 2019, after a long illness borne with much courage and dignity, Judith aged 78 years. The dearly loved Wife of Tony, a much-loved Mother of Richard, Anna, Julia and Step Son Jonathon. She will be sadly missed and most fondly remembered, by all her loving family and friends. The Funeral Service will take place at the Parish Church of St. Christopher, Pott Shrigley on Friday 8th March at 10.00 am, prior to a Service of Committal at Macclesfield Crematorium at 11.20 am. No flowers by request, but if desired donations may be sent for the East Cheshire Hospice.

 

Suddenly but peacefully on Sunday 10th March 2019 at Macclesfield District General Hospital, Graeme aged 77 years of Tytherington, formerly of Macclesfield and Wilmslow. The dearly loved Husband of Rita, a much-loved Dad of Sean and Antony, a loving Father in Law of Linda and Ange, a treasured Grandpa of Kirstie, Jamie, Toby and Alfie, loving Brother of Jonny and Wendy, Brother in Law of Kay and Uncle of Mel. He will be sadly missed and most fondly remembered by all his loving family and friends. The Funeral Service and Committal will take place at Macclesfield Crematorium on Monday 15th April at 1.20 pm. On Monday 11th March 2019, peacefully in hospital, Patricia aged 70 years.  The Funeral Service and Committal will take place at 11.20 a.m. on Friday 12th April at Macclesfield Crematorium.  Family flowers only, by request, but donations may be made, if so desired, in favour of the East Cheshire Hospice.

On 8th January 2019 peacefully in Hospital, Bill aged 72 years.  A dearly loved Brother and a  cherished Friend to many.  Bill will be missed greatly and most fondly remembered by all his loving Family and Friends.  The Funeral Service and Committal will take place at Macclesfield Crematorium on Tuesday, 26th February at 11.20 a.m.

On Sunday 10th March 2019, peacefully in hospital, Derek aged 86 years.  Beloved and loving Husband of the late Barbara, loving Father of Christine, Colin and Angela, a dear Father-in-Law to Robert, Tricia and Ted, a loving and devoted Grandfather of Sarah, Anna, Bradley, Neil, Nicky, Clare, Diane, Stuart, Jennie, Emily, Lucy, Alison and John, Great-Grandfather of Preston, Leilah, Darcie, Scarlett, Keira, Alexis, Patrick, Rhianna, Joe, Emma, Charlie, Chloe, Maddie, Florence, Annie, Ray, Olive, Milli and Bobbi.  Derek will be missed greatly by all who knew him.  The Funeral Service will take place at 2.00 p.m. on Wednesday 27th March at Macclesfield Methodist Church followed by Committal at Macclesfield Crematorium at 3.20 p.m.  Family flowers only, by request, but donations may be made, if so desired, in favour of Kidney Research UK.

On 8th January 2019 peacefully in Hospital, Rona aged 77 years.  A dearly loved Wife, Loved Mother and a cherished Grandmother.  Rona will be missed greatly and most fondly remembered by all her loving Family and Friends.  The Funeral Service and Committal will take place at Macclesfield Crematorium on Friday, 22nd March 2019 at 9.20 a.m.

On 6th February 2019 peacefully in a local care home, Patricia aged 90 years.  The dearly loved Wife of the late Don, Beloved Mother of Judith, Martin and Andrew, cherished Gran and a loved Companion of Bernard.  Patricia will be missed greatly and most fondly remembered by all her loving Family and Friends.  The Funeral Service and Committal will take place at Macclesfield Crematorium on Monday, 4th March at 10.40 a.m.  Family flowers only, by request, but donations may be made, if so desired, in favour of the Alzheimer’s Society.

Peacefully on Wednesday 20th March 2019 at Brookview Nursing Home, Alderley Edge, Joyce aged 79 years of Wilmslow. The dearly loved Wife of Robert, a much-loved Mother of Edward and Elizabeth. She will be sadly missed and most fondly remembered by her loving family and friends. The Funeral Service will take place at All Saints Church, Siddington on Tuesday 16th April at 2.00 pm. Prior to Interment at Adlington Memorial Park at 3.30 pm.

Peacefully on Sunday 24th February 2019, at her home in Sutton, after a short illness borne with much courage and dignity and in the presence of her loving family, Barbara aged 73 years. The dearly loved Wife of Nick, a much-loved Mum of Simon, Vic and Kim, a loving Mother in Law of Kirsty, Pete and Jack, treasured Nanny of Charlie, Nell and Jessica. She will be sadly missed and most fondly remembered, by all her loving family and friends. The Funeral Service will take place at the Parish Church of St. James, Sutton on Thursday 14th March at 2.00 pm, prior to Interment in the Church Yard. The family request that items of colourful clothing are preferred. Family flowers only by request, but if desired donations may be sent for Claire House Children’s Hospice.

On Saturday 9th February 2019, peacefully in a local care home, Lady Maxi aged 82 years.  The Funeral Service and Committal will take place at 10.00 a.m. on Tuesday 19th February at Macclesfield Crematorium.  Family flowers only, by request, but donations may me made, if so desired, in favour of the Weston Park Care Home Staff Comforts Fund.

 

 

On 9th March 2019 peacefully in a local nursing home, Eric aged 89 years.  The dearly loved Husband of Audrey, beloved Father, loved Grandfather and a cherished Great Grandfather.  Eric will be missed greatly and most fondly remembered by all his loving Family and Friends.  The Funeral Service and Committal will take place at Macclesfield Crematorium on Wednesday, 3rd April at 2.00 p.m.  Family flowers only, by request, but donations may be made, if so desired, in favour of the East Cheshire Hospice or Macmillan Cancer Support.

Peacefully on Saturday 9th February 2019 at Macclesfield District General Hospital, Jean aged 85 years of Congleton. A much-loved Mother of Carol and Debbie. She will be sadly missed and most fondly remembered by her loving family and friends. The Funeral Service will take place at Macclesfield Crematorium, on Tuesday 5th March at 11.20 am. On 9th March 2019 peacefully in a local Nursing home, Joan aged 89 years.  The dearly loved Husband of Joe, beloved Mother of Andrew, cherished Grandmother of Alex and Pam and a treasured Great Grandmother of Isabel.  Joan will be missed greatly and most fondly remembered by all her loving Family and Friends.  The Funeral Service and Committal will take place at Macclesfield Crematorium on Friday, 5th April 2019 at 2.00 p.m.  Family flowers only, by request, but donations may be made, if so desired, in favour of the Alzheimer’s Society.

On 14th March 2019 peacefully in Hospital with Carole by his side, Howard aged 75 years formerly of Glasgow.  The dearly loved Husband of Carole, fantastic Father of Johnty, a cherished Son-in-Law, Brother-in-Law and a daft uncle to all his Nephews and Nieces.  Howard will be missed greatly and most fondly remembered by all his loving Family and Friends.  The Funeral Service will take place at the Parish Church of St James, Sutton followed by Interment in the Churchyard on a date and time to be arranged.  Family flowers only, by request, but donations may be made, if so desired, in favour of Diabetes UK.

On 28th February 2019 peacefully in a local care home, Kenneth aged 95 years.  The dearly loved Husband of the late Margaret and the loving Father of the late Karen.  The Funeral Service and Committal will take place at Macclesfield Crematorium on Thursday, 21st March 2019 at 10.40 a.m.  Family flowers only, by request, but donations may be made, if so desired, in favour of the Cystic Fibrosis Trust.

On 7th March 2019 peacefully in the East Cheshire Hospice, Christopher aged 71 years.  The dearly loved Husband of Wendy, loved Father and a cherished Grandfather.  Christopher will be missed greatly and most fondly remembered by all his loving Family and Friends.  The Funeral Service and Committal will take place at Macclesfield Crematorium on Monday, 25th March 2019 at 3.20 p.m.  Family flowers only, by request, but donations may be made, if so desired, in favour of the East Cheshire Hospice or Pancreatic Cancer Research.

Peacefully on Sunday 17th February 2019, at The Rowans Nursing Home, Robert Russell aged 78 years of Macclesfield. A much-loved Father of Chris, Susan and Sharon. He will be sadly missed and most fondly remembered, by all his loving family and friends. Suddenly on Monday 11th February 2019, at Macclesfield District General Hospital, Geoff aged 89 years of Macclesfield. The dearly loved Husband of the late Sheila Perkin. On 6th February 2019 peacefully in a local care home, Jessie aged 91 years.  The dearly loved Wife of the late Fred, beloved Mother of Geoffrey and Linda and a cherished Grandmother.  Jessie will be missed greatly and most fondly remembered by all her loving Family and Friends.  The Funeral Service and Committal will take place at Macclesfield Crematorium on Wednesday, 27th February 2019 at 10.40 a.m.  Family flowers only, by request, but donations may be made, if so desired, in favour of the Alzheimer’s Society.

Peacefully at the East Cheshire Hospice on 8th March 2019, after an illness borne with much courage and dignity, Neil Aged 53 years.  The dearly loved Husband of Sarah and a beloved Father of Becky.  Neil will be missed greatly and most fondly remembered by all his loving Family and Friends.  The Funeral Service and Committal will take place at Macclesfield Crematorium on Thursday, 21st March 2019 at 3.20 p.m.  Family flowers only, by request, but donations may be made, if so desired, in favour of the East Cheshire Hospice.

On 19th February 2019 peacefully in Hospital, Rose aged 77 years of Macclesfield.  A dearly loved Mother and cherished Grandmother.  Rose will be missed greatly and most fondly remembered by all her loving Family and Friends.  The Funeral Service and Committal will take place at Macclesfield Crematorium on Monday, 18th March 2019 at 11.20 a.m.

Peacefully on Wednesday 13th March 2019 at the East Cheshire Hospice, Michael (Mick) aged 66 years of Macclesfield. He will be sadly missed and most fondly remembered by his family and friends. The Funeral Service and Committal will take place at Macclesfield Crematorium on Thursday 4th April at 12 Noon. No flowers by request, but if desired donations may be sent for the Special Care Baby Unit at Macclesfield District General Hospital.

On Wednesday 27th February 2019, peacefully in hospital, Robert aged 76 years.  Dearly loved Brother of Eric and Gordon, dear Brother-in-Law to Brenda and the late Angela and much loved Uncle of Rosemary, Graham, Mark and Paul.  Robert will be missed greatly by all who knew him.  The Funeral Service and Committal will take place at 2.40 p.m. on Friday 22nd March at Macclesfield Crematorium.  Family flowers only, by request, but donations may be made, if so desired, in favour of The Cure Parkinson’s Trust.

On 1st March 2019 peacefully in a local care home, Joan aged 94 years.  The dearly loved Wife of the late Bob, Beloved Mother of Helen and the late Michael, Cherished Grandmother and a treasured Great Grandmother.  Joan will be missed greatly and most fondly remembered by all her loving Family and Friends.  The Funeral Service and Committal will take place at Macclesfield Crematorium on Monday, 25th March 2019 at 11.20 a.m.  Family flowers only, by request, but donations may be made, if so desired, in favour of Dementia Research UK.

Peacefully on Saturday 9th February 2019, at Macclesfield District General Hospital, Carole aged 72 years of Gawsworth. The dearly loved Wife of the late Ivor John Townshend, a much-loved Mother of Ralph and Sarah. She will be sadly missed and most fondly remembered, by all her loving family, friends and Church family. The Funeral Service will take place at the Parish Church of St. James The Great, Gawsworth, on Thursday 7th March at 1.00 pm, prior to a private Service of Committal at Macclesfield Crematorium at 2.40 pm. Peacefully on Monday 25th February 2019, at the East Cheshire Hospice, after an illness fought with much courage and dignity, Pete aged 57 years of Macclesfield. A much-loved Father of Sam, loving Son of Jim and Doris, dearly loved Brother of Christine and a treasured Uncle of Suzie and Sara. He will be sadly missed and most fondly remembered by his loving family and friends. The Funeral Service and Committal will take place at Macclesfield Crematorium on Wednesday 20th March at 12 Noon. At Pete’s request, mourners are requested to wear colourful, casual clothing. Family flowers only by request, but if desired donations may be sent for East Cheshire Hospice.

 

Peacefully on Friday 15th February 2019, at Prestbury House Care Home, Dennis aged 77 years. The dearly loved Husband of the late Margaret Mary, a much-loved Father of Judith and Thomas. He will be sadly missed and most fondly remembered, by all his loving family and friends. The Funeral Service will take place at the Parish Church of St. Michael and All Angels, Macclesfield on Monday 11th March at 2.00 pm, prior to a service of Committal at Macclesfield Crematorium at 3.20 pm. On Saturday 9th March 2019, peacefully in a local care home, Janet aged 79 years.  The Funeral Service and Committal will take place at 11.20 a.m. on Tuesday 2nd April at Macclesfield Crematorium.  Family flowers only, by request, but donations may be made, if so desired, in favour of Hollins Park Care Home.

Peacefully on Friday 1st March 2019 at Heliosa Nursing Home, Congleton, Mary aged 97 years of Macclesfield. The dearly loved Wife of the late Arthur, a much-loved Mother of Susan and Jennifer. She will be sadly missed and most fondly remembered by her loving family and friends. The Funeral Service will take place at Macclesfield Crematorium Chapel on Thursday 21st March at 1.20 pm.
