Details of forthcoming funerals, please respect the families’ wishes in relation to attendance, flowers and donations.

On 29th April 2019 peacefully in Hospital, Diane aged 77 years.  The dearly loved Mother of Liane, Claire and Sue and a much loved Grandmother.  Diane will be missed greatly and most fondly remembered by all her loving Family and Friends.  The Funeral Service will take place at Holy trinity Church Hurdsfield, Macclesfield on Wednesday, 22nd May 2019 at 2.00 p.m. followed by a private Interment.  Family flowers only, by request, but donations may be made, if so desired, in favour of the Guide Dogs for the Blind.

On 15th April 2019 peacefully at home, Sheila aged 85 years of Macclesfield Forest.  The dearly loved Wife of the late John, beloved Mother of Linda, Steve and Janette, cherished Grandmother of Lucie and James and a treasured Great Grandmother of Celeste.  Sheila will be missed greatly and most fondly remembered by all her loving Family and Friends.  The Funeral Service and Committal will take place at Macclesfield Crematorium on Friday, 10th May 2019 at 2.40 p.m.  Family flowers only, by request, but donations may be made, if so desired, in favour of the East Cheshire Hospice.

Peacefully on Tuesday 9th April 2019 at her home, Jessica aged 46 years of Higher Hurdsfield. She will be sadly missed and most fondly remembered by her loving family and friends. The Funeral Service and Committal will take place at Macclesfield Crematorium on Wednesday 15th May at 2.40 pm. Family flowers only by request, but if desired donations may be sent for M.I.N.D.

 

On 20th April 2019 peacefully in a local care home, Nora aged 91 years.  The dearly loved Wife of the late Leslie and a Beloved Mother of Judith.  Nora will be missed greatly and most fondly remembered by all her loving Family and Friends.  The Funeral Service will take place at Norbury Parish Church Hazel Grove on Thursday, 23rd May 2019 at 1.00 p.m. followed by Committal at Stockport Crematorium at 2.30 p.m.  Family flowers only, by request, but donations may be made, if so desired, in favour of the Wythenshawe Hospital Cardiothoracic Unit.

Peacefully on Sunday 21st April 2019, at Macclesfield District General Hospital, Thomas Henry aged 85 years of Macclesfield. The dearly loved Husband of Gladys, a much-loved Father of Susan and Michelle, loving Father in Law and a treasured Grandad. He will be sadly missed and most fondly remembered, by all his loving family and friends. The Funeral Service and Committal will take place at Macclesfield Crematorium on Friday 17th May at 2.00 pm. On 17th May 2019 peacefully in the East Cheshire Hospice, Eddie aged 80 years.  The dearly loved Husband of June, beloved Father of Peter, Jason and Simon and a cherished Grandfather.  Eddie will be missed greatly and most fondly remembered by all his loving Family and Friends.  The Funeral Service and Committal will take place at Macclesfield Crematorium on Monday, 3rd June 2019 at 2.40 p.m.  Family flowers only, by request, but donations may be made, if so desired, in favour of the East Cheshire Hospice.

On 12th April 2019 peacefully at home, Roger aged 72 years.  The dearly loved Husband of Suzanne, beloved Father of Christopher and Karen and a cherished Grandfather.  Roger will be missed greatly and most fondly remembered by all his loving Family and Friends.  The Funeral Service and Committal will take place at Macclesfield Crematorium on Thursday, 9th May 2019 at 10.40 a.m.  Family flowers only, by request, but donations may be made, if so desired, in favour of the Weymouth Lifeboat.

On Friday 10th May 2019, peacefully in the East Cheshire Hospice, Alan aged 85 years.  The Funeral Service and Committal will take place at 2.40 p.m. on Friday 31st May at Macclesfield Crematorium.  Family flowers only, by request, but donations may be made, if so desired, in favour of the East Cheshire Hospice.

On 6th May 2019 peacefully at home, Irene aged 90 years.  The dearly loved Wife of the late Wilfred, beloved Mother of Ian and loved Mother-in-Law off Anne.  Irene will be missed greatly and most fondly remembered by all her loving Family and Friends.  The Funeral Service will take place at the Parish Church of St Thomas Henbury on Wednesday, 29th May 2019 at 2.00 p.m. followed by interment in St Lawrence’s Churchyard Over Peover at 3.30 p.m.  Family flowers only, by request, but donations may be made, if so desired, in favour of Chelford District Nurses or Chelford Surgery.

Peacefully on Thursday 18th April 2019, at Belong Care Home, Eric James aged 94 years of Higher Hurdsfield. The dearly loved Husband of the late Christine Mary Greer. He will be sadly missed and most fondly remembered by all his loving family and friends. The Funeral Service and Committal will take place at Macclesfield Crematorium on Tuesday 14th May at 11.20 am. On 12th May 2019 peacefully at in Hospital, Sylvia aged 93 years.  The dearly loved Wife of the late Walter beloved Mother and a loved Grandmother.  Sylvia will be missed greatly and most fondly remembered by all her loving Family and Friends.  The Funeral Service and Committal will take place at Macclesfield Crematorium on Friday, 14th June 2019 at 2.00 p.m.  Family flowers only, by request, but donations may be made, if so desired, in favour of the Windyway Trust.

Peacefully on Friday 10th May 2019, at Park Mount Care Home, Eileen aged 81 years of Macclesfield. The dearly loved Wife of the late Brian, a much-loved Mother of Helen and Matthew, a loving Mother in Law of Neil and Michelle and a cherished Grandma of Alex and Daniel. She will be sadly missed and most fondly remembered, by all her loving family and friends. The Funeral Mass will take place at St. Gregory’s Roman Catholic Church, Bollington on Wednesday 5th June at 12 Noon, prior to a service of Committal at Macclesfield Crematorium at 2.00 pm. Flowers or if desired donations may be sent for the Alzheimer’s Society.

Peacefully on Saturday 18th May 2019 at the East Cheshire Hospice, Anita aged 84 years of Macclesfield and formerly of Withington, Manchester. The beloved Wife of the late Alan Hollinson, much-loved Mother of Mark and Peter, loving Mother- in- Law, cherished Grandma and Great Grandma. She will be sadly missed and fondly remembered by all her family and friends. The Funeral Service and Committal will take place at Macclesfield Crematorium on Friday 7th June at 10.00 am. Peacefully on Monday 6th May 2019 at Macclesfield District General Hospital, Joe aged 67 years of Macclesfield. The dearly loved Husband of Catherine, a much-loved Father of Helen and Joe. He will be sadly missed and most fondly remembered by all his loving family and friends. On 4th May 2019 peacefully in Hospital, Susan aged 64 years.  The dearly loved Wife of Stephen, beloved Mother of Sarah and Cathy and a much loved Grandmother.  Susan will be missed greatly and most fondly remembered by all her loving Family and Friends.  The Funeral Service and Committal will take place at Macclesfield Crematorium on Friday, 7th June 2019 at 11.20 a.m.  Family flowers only, by request, but donations may be made, if so desired, in favour of Headway.

On 21st April 2019 peacefully in a local care home, Anthony aged 73 years.  A much loved Son and a cherished Brother.  Anthony will be missed greatly and most fondly remembered by all his loving Family and Friends.  The Funeral Service and Committal will take place at Macclesfield Crematorium on Monday, 13th May 2019 at 11.20 a.m.

Peacefully on Tuesday 30th April 2019, at Macclesfield District General Hospital, Margaret aged 84 years, of Tytherington. The dearly loved Wife of the late James Angus Payne, a much-loved Mum of Alex and Alistair, loving Mother in Law and a cherished Grandad. She will be sadly missed and most fondly remembered, by all her loving family and friends. The Funeral Service will take place at the Parish Church of St. Michael and All Angels, Macclesfield, on Friday 24th May at 10.45 am, prior to a service of Committal at Macclesfield Crematorium. Peacefully on Saturday 11th May 2019, at Macclesfield District General Hospital, Aria aged 94 years of Prestbury. The dearly loved Wife of the late Ian Kenneth and a much-loved Mother of Sylvia. The dearly loved Wife of the late William, a much-loved Mother of Hilary and Claire and a treasured Grandma of Sam and Jack. On Monday 15th April 2019, peacefully in hospital, Wendy aged 80 years.  The Funeral Service and Committal will take place at 2.00 p.m. on Thursday 9th May at Macclesfield Crematorium.  Family flowers only, by request, but donations may be made, if so desired, in favour of the Stroke Unit at the Royal Stoke University Hospital.

On 6th May 2019 peacefully in Hospital, Barbara aged 85 years.  The dearly loved Wife of the late Roy, beloved Mother and a cherished Grandmother.  Barbara will be missed greatly and most fondly remembered by all her loving Family and Friends.  The Funeral Service and Committal will take place at Macclesfield Crematorium on Tuesday, 28th May at 10.40 a.m.  Family flowers only, by request, but donations may be made, if so desired, in favour of Cat Protection.

Peacefully and unexpectedly on Easter Monday 22nd April 2019, at Macclesfield District General Hospital, with Pam by his side, Ron aged 96 years, of Sutton. Devoted and ever loving Husband of Pam. He will be sadly missed and most fondly remembered, by all his many loving friends. The Funeral Service of Celebration and Thanksgiving for the life of Ron, will take place at the Parish Church of St. James, Sutton on Tuesday 21st May at 1.00 pm, prior to Interment in the Church Yard. Peacefully on Monday 20th May 2019, at Macclesfield District General Hospital, Lillian aged 83 years of Bollington. A much-loved Mum of Janet, John and Jilly, loving Mother in Law of Ron, Joy and Gary, cherished Gran of Natalie, Jenny, Ben, Danielle, Jess, James and Joe, treasured Great Gran of Izzy and Tommy. She will be sadly missed and most fondly remembered, by all her loving family and friends.
