I assist at a local Church, during many funerals. I have found Andrew Smith and his team to be the most caring and efficient of all the undertakers. Their attention to detail, even down to hoovering Church carpets is phenomenal. Their attitude throughout is one of compassion and professionalism. I have also experienced it personally when my husband died, they made a very sad day much more bearable by their kindness.

Myself and my family can’t thank Andrew and Angela enough for all they did in making our beloved dad’s funeral one he would have been proud of, from the compassion and professionalism they made a sad day so much easier for us all.

ASFS are very professional but caring too. They are sensitive to the views of the family and my husbands funeral was handled with so much care and thoughtfulness as well as attention to every detail. Our family are very grateful for all their help and kindness to us all.

Losing my Mum at the age of 101 was very emotional. The whole team at Andrew Smith Funeral Services showed true professionalism, efficiency and respect at all times. Thanks go especially to Richard M and Angela for their support and empathy and taking the worry out of arranging a funeral. The service at the Crematorium was beautiful thanks to their recommendations. Nothing was too much trouble and it was easy to deal with such a friendly and approachable Company in Macclesfield.

Losing someone you love is never easy, but losing your beautiful younger sister is even harder.

From the moment I spoke to Angela and asked for ASFS,I knew we had made the right decision. Nothing was too much trouble, I had some experience of organising a funeral previously, bower my brother who lives in USA and my sisters much loved partner hadn’t, however Richard (Eric) discussed and explained everything in an easy and relaxed manner. As our girl was young, vibrant and someone who lived life to the full, we as a family wanted a simple but fitting tribute for her.

The team at ASFS went above and beyond, I personally, would like to thank Angela who was my complete support throughout the process, the team on the day were all polite, professional and extremely helpful so on behalf o us all just Thank you.

My darling wife Kate passed just before Christmas. A difficult time. We were recommended to use ASFS by our neighbour, district nurse and GP. From the outset the team at ASFS were compassionate, caring, kind, and thoroughly professional. They gave help, support, and practical suggestions throughout on how best to create the funeral we wanted, giving emotional support to myself, son, and daughter that was priceless. The funeral itself was flawless, attended by friends and relatives from all over the British Isles and watched by family in Australia and Angola. Everyone commented on what a beautiful service it was. ‘Thank You ASFS’ doesn’t do justice to the service we received. It was exceptional

We will be for ever grateful , that my sister Pamela’s Solicitor recommended that we should use the Funeral Services of Andrew Smith , based in Macclesfield , Cheshire. . My sister Pamela , sadly had no surviving family members ,apart from myself , and I , her sole remaining sister live in Exeter Devon. An immediate obstacle you would have thought. This fortunately proved NOT to be the case Caring, compassionate telephone calls, sensitive email exchanges where we were able to view possible choices of coffins, flower arrangements, and even a list of possible venues for a gathering together after the Funeral Service. were promptly suggested. When we eventually met with the several personnel involved with these arrangements it was as if we knew them, each and everyone , personally as friends. Nothing was too much trouble and their guidance gave me confidence to cope with the occasion .calmly. Indeed , my husband and I were so completely content with their services that I did ask Richard Crossland if there would be any chance of his Company .acting for ourselves , down in Devon , when the needs arose ?! . (Probably we both had a twinkle in our eyes at the time ?!) However, I had much more than a twinkle in my eye when I was handed a most unexpected pretty carrier bag , holding some thoughtful memorabilia of the occasion, and an amazing arrangement of beautiful, fragrant flowers,, which even today , two weeks after my sister’s funeral, are bringing us joy .. Our heartfelt thanks to you all.

From the moment the Hearse arrived at the house, the support, for the bereaved, by the Funeral Director and his Ushers, was of sympathy & kindness. They came into the house with condolence tributes, and then led the family out to the waiting Hearse. Throughout the time in the Church and later at the crematorium , the service provided, was professional throughout.. Many thanks.
